It's the height of the Roaring Twenties, and Mrs. Rittenhouse has invited you to a gala weekend-long party at her mansion, to honor Captain Geoffrey T. Spaulding's recent return from his exploration of Africa. If that sounds familiar, it's the premise of Animal Crackers. Don't worry, we'll deviate from the Marx Brothers about five minutes into the game, when Captain Spaulding is found murdered. All of you have secrets to hide, so it's up to you to figure out who killed him and why, before the detectives show up and start digging into everyone's secrets. [While the setting is the same as the HfCS games run at other cons, the players make the plot. If you've played this before, you can still safely play it here and not know Whodunnit. Until characters are submitted, even the GM doesn't know what the secrets are or who actually murdered Spaulding.]
Shadow Earth, in the 1920s. While the base setting is taken from a slapstick movie, you do not have to be familiar with the movie, and the game itself is not slapstick so you may play a serious character if you wish.
