You are the mysterious and powerful, not quite human Elements tasked with protecting the world from those that exist Outside. There are creatures from very beginnings of time and the very ends of time that are forever seeking for tears in the fabric of reality to gain entry to our dimension. Evil, hungry entities that will take people out of reality and time. These tears can happen at any point in the timeline and you are assigned to stop the adversaries from causing irreparable harm.

This is your role and you have never questioned it. Working tirelessly to contain the irregularities, never once questioning just who it is that assigns you to these cases as that does not seem to matter. Never once asking who you really are. You probably couldn't really say where you came from or what life you had before becoming an Element, as that isn't important. Your job is to contain the incursions and nothing else matters.

All this may soon change. There is a storm brewing. It is rare for more than two, or three elements at most to be assigned to a case. Almost unheard of. Until now. You are all assigned to investigate an unspecified irregularity at the November Hallows Travelling Carnival. You may not like what you find there.

The time is 1985 and a storm is coming.

What do players need to do to prepare for the game
This is a game based on the cult British TV series Sapphire & Steel (1979-1982). Familiarity will be useful for getting the feel of the setting but not essential.

Character gen will be done over email before the con. The game is diceless but different to the Amber rules as it is specific to creating "medium atomic weight" element characters.
