The Ascendancy is the greatest empire in the multiverse. It grows in power and size every day. Worlds will be made safe, lest they become a beachhead for enemies. The Ascendancy will grow larger and more powerful, for the good of all.

The Conciliatore are those honored to defend the Ascendancy. Handpicked by Lord Bastiano, they are his greatest warriors. They will keep the Ascendancy strong, no matter the cost.

Now, a world with ties to the Ascendancy is threatened by dark forces. lord Bastiano has dispatched a team of his Conciliatore to deal with the threat and serve the interests of the Ascendancy.

Characters such as the Avengers, the men and women of U.N.C.L.E. and the I.M.F. are all options. Comedy, parody, comic book, and cartoon characters will not be options.

Some minor knowledge of the Harry Potter universe would be helpful, but not essential as this game takes place roughly 50 years before the events of those books/films. WW2 knowledge is likewise not critical as the game focuses on the secret Wizarding War occurring in the shadows.

Likely to not be as dark as ShadowWorld WW2, but likely to have more Harry Potter content :)

The Wizarding War rages on. Europe has fallen to the dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald and his muggle allies in the Thule Society. Only the Ministry of Magic and its Aurors keep England from falling.

As Grindelwald prepares final moves against the Ministry, the Aurors conceive a desperate plan. A group of dangerous prisoners will be released from Azkaban to operate behind enemy lines on a suicide mission to alter the course of the war.

Now this group of dark wizards, murderers, thieves, werewolves, and worse, along with the Aurors who imprisoned them, must work together before the Wizarding War is lost and Grindelwald conquers muggle and wizard alike.

The most dangerous man in the world is called Merikh. He started as a minor weapons dealer in the Middle East, but his reach now is far ranging, everything from cocaine production in South America, armor development in Europe, and nuclear weapon sales from Russia. The problem is that he is becoming involved in efforts with higher and higher political stakes. The recent instability in Syria is a small example. You are reportedly our best and brightest, the most talented spies of all our various organizations. Your job is to work together to infiltrate his organization and stop Merikh.

This game is set in Egypt and the Middle East in 1921, and in Amber about 18 years before the events of _Nine Princes in Amber_. Oberon is still on the throne, there's a cenotaph to Corwin, the angling to be named heir is ever increasing in intensity, Benedict walked out about 4 years ago, various factions have taken or are about to take more or less irrevocable actions. On Earth, Winston Churchill and Lawrence of Arabia, among others, are mixed in with rebellion and the aftermath of the Great War. The roaring 20's are getting into full roar, and everyone has hats and martinis and cigarettes and jazz.

You'll be playing one of the elders from this list: Bleys, Brand, Caine, Deirdre, Eric, Fiona, Gerard, Julian, or Llewella. Email me after game assignments go out with your top three choices. You get 90 points to spend, with free Pattern. Max good/bad stuff is 10. There is no Sorcery or Conjuration. For up to 20 extra points (2 descriptions x 10 points apiece), by March 18th get me a description of something that's going on in Amber that would draw your attention back there if, just for instance, one of your siblings screwed with it. Big political stuff, small relationship stuff, whatever.
