When you went to bed last night, it was in another place, another time, another world altogether. But now, you find yourself in a new place, beautiful and impossible and impossibly beautiful, a castle in the clouds. There are other new people, like you, None of you know how or why you're here, and there's no one around to ask. But in the distance, you hear horns, and armies marching. It might be prudent to man the defenses, figure out how you got here, or both.
Game Book Detail
Sequel to Exeunt Florimel, Murdered by Fire Angels.
The children of Amberites begat on visits to Earth* had been hidden, somewhat prepared but largely kept in the dark by Florimel and are now initiates of the Pattern in Rebma and free to do as they wish.
Set during Nine Princes in Amber -- Corwin walked the Pattern in Rebma and disappeared this morning.
*While Oberon fathered children as he wished, none of his children can procreate. Aside from with Chaos Lords (which most of the family is unaware of), or, as it turned out, Rebman royals (but Random 'knew' that Morganthe's child wasn't his) or each other, but Oberon forbade incest and seems to have been obeyed. So parenthood, should they become aware of the PCs, is a brand new thing to nearly all of Amber's Princes and Princesses

You are at Hillhurst hotel. You may think of your own reason why you stay in this hotel. Could be bussiness, pleasure or you can work there. You feel something is off. Things seem to be moving around, things go bump in the night, and sometimes it even seems that rooms and corridors are relocated.
Nobody seems to notice you think, at least they act like everything is normal.
You play a human character in the modern world. Choose a profession. If you have a good idea, let me know and we can work it into a working concept.
"Let me tell you why you're here. You're here because you know something. What you know you can't explain, but you can feel it. You've felt it your entire life. Something is wrong with the world. You don't know what, but it's there. Like a splinter in your mind, it's driving you mad. It is this feeling that has brought you to me. Do you know what I am talking about?"
You've been denied your birthright, kept a prisoner in your own mind. The true world awaits you and Morpheus has shown you the door. Swallow the red pill and embrace your true reality.
This is an update of the game I first ran at Ambercon US in 2002. You can play any character you want from any world imaginable. It can be a character from your favorite book or movie or the PC from a roleplaying campaign you played years ago. Character creation will use a slimmed down version of my Key System.
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...
A world without Stars, and very few Wars. Deep in the Monsua Nebula, under an empty night sky is a forgotten world. It has been so long apart from galactic civilization that few there remember other worlds even exist.
The pacifist Nautolan Jedi Master Manju Suri exiled himself here rather than take up arms in the Clone Wars. He created the Mountain Temple, a spirtual retreat consecrated to nonviolence, contemplation, and the perfection of physical movement. In time, seekers who felt a calling in the spiritual energy called the Force of Heaven and Earth were drawn to him, seeking his teachings. Certain gifted orphans he adopted as and raised as disciples, sending them out as pilgrims and emissaries of compassion, insight, and protection. They were counselors, defenders of the weak, healers, engineers, and seekers of knowledge.
You and your siblings are those Padawan monks, returning home for the Festival Season...where a tragic discovery awaits you...
Players will be expected to work with each other to create characters with shared histories and connections. The core mood of the game is a mashup of Wuxia and Star Wars lore. Each PC should be a different flavor of Force Sensitive.
Rules and character creation guidance will be forthcoming.
In Pretty Amber, there sits a King of All Order. In Dark Chaos, there hovers a Queen on the Edge of the Tree of Matter. Amber and Chaos have vexed us since before the Nameless spit out the Logrus. Terrible immortals, they parcel the universe and squabble over mysteries. Pendrad is found. Lords of Shadow and Gossamer have uncovered that which was so Long Lost we nearly forgot it ourselves. Once the Glorious Pendrad was the Crafting the UnderGods feared, and too long they have forgotten who built the Pendrad. We call You of all Bloods together, for a Memory returned. Young Immortals are pretty, but not the prettiest or most wicked. For they are not Fae.
Play the Immortals who existed before the Universe had Shadows, the Fae. They are incredibly ancient. They have mad skillz. They breathe Magic. They are nearly extinct... but maybe that can change! please read 'Lords of Gossamer and Shadow' by Jason Durall. Your PCs will be tasked by the Great Khans of the Fae... you may pick your own Khan (returning players have first choice), based on character design OR contact with the GM by email. The web page to get flavor background of Pendrad series is https://intheshadowofgreatness.wordpress.com/2005/01/09/imc_fae_khans/.
Characters into the GM 2 weeks before Con get 100 pts. Other Characters are built for 80 pts. No pregens available without talking to the GM.
"All irregularities will be handled by the forces controlling each dimension.
Transuranic heavy elements may not be used where there is life.
Medium atomic weights are available: Gold, Lead, Copper, Jet, Diamond, Radium, Sapphire, Silver and Steel.
Sapphire and Steel have been assigned."
You are the mysterious and powerful, not quite human Elements tasked with protecting the world from those that exist Outside. There are creatures from very beginnings of time and the very ends of time that are forever seeking for tears in the fabric of reality to gain entry to our dimension. Evil, hungry entities that will take people out of reality and time. These tears can happen at any point in the timeline and you are assigned to stop the adversaries from causing irreparable harm.
This is your role and you have never questioned it. Working tirelessly to contain the irregularities, never once questioning just who it is that assigns you to these cases as that does not seem to matter. Never once asking who you really are. You probably couldn't really say where you came from or what life you had before becoming an Element, as that isn't important. Your job is to contain the incursions and nothing else matters.
All this may soon change. There is a storm brewing. It is rare for more than two, or three elements at most to be assigned to a case. Almost unheard of. Until now. You are all assigned to investigate an unspecified irregularity at the November Hallows Travelling Carnival. You may not like what you find there.
The time is 1985 and a storm is coming.
Character gen will be done over email before the con. The game is diceless but different to the Amber rules as it is specific to creating "medium atomic weight" element characters.
It should have been the trip of a lifetime, to see Nepal, to hike a trail, to see mountains bigger than any on earth. But the dreams that you have had in the guest houses, of swordplay, of fire, water, earth air and wood, of magic, and of danger, those you could live without. And why do you think you know your fellow trekkers, having almost certainly never having met them before?
And why do you have the feeling that you are being followed?
And what will happen when your tour guide asks you try and open a Door and see what is beyond?
Second Breath is a LOGAS game based on Lords of Gossamer and Shadow, with elements of Exalted, Scion, and Amber. Characters start off as seemingly ordinary Earth people, who find out that the truth is rather different. What will happen when your character takes their second breath?
Also, players should decide on the element they are most aligned with:
Air: Logical thinkers and intellectuals.
Earth: Bastions of stability and tradition.
Fire: Passionate and flashy.
Water: Determined and patient.
Wood: Nurturing and sensual
The infinite length of the Grand Stair leads everywhere and anywhere, offering the promise of unimaginably riches and the risk of untold danger with every new Door you step through.
As agents of Lucien you travel the Grand Stair seeking knowledge and investigating the unexplained.
This is a repeat of the game I ran at ACNW20 and ACNI21, if you played in it there this isn’t the game for you.
This is a Lords of Gossamer and Shadow game, a game based on the Amber Diceless RPG rules but using a new and different background setting. However no prior knowledge of Lords of Gossamer and Shadow is needed to play this game.
Full character creation details will be provide after game assignments are completed, but for those who don't wish to get into the details of Lords of Gossamer and Shadow pregen characters will be available.
This time, this place (well, sorta, there were a few minor changes). You are elite soldiers from militaries around the world, and attached specialist and even civilians, in a black ops program dealing with invasion of Earth by non-humans, the TARGETS. The Colonels' Council running the program generates missions ranging from reconnaissance of parallel worlds reachable through the tunnel system, to support and expansion of off-world bases and even a proto-colony, in case Earth falls. This is current day Earth, sort of. This is Amber, sort of. Target:AMBER grew out of Patrick Brady at AmberCon UK running a one-shot (which became a 9 year campaign that ended half a decade ago) musing on the casual strength and resilience of Amberites described in the first books, and consider what the whole package would be, in speed, reaction speed, senses. Consider dogs that can run down a Mercedes and tear pieces off of it, and think what it would mean to face a pack of those, as a mere mortal, with Earth arms and armor. Consider how many Amberites have visited Earth over the years, and how they play games. This starts on Earth as we know it, but a bit different. The multiverse after the first five books, and then some. This is Target:AMBER V2. It is not a spin-off, not a reboot, this is a continuation of Target: AMBER, as run by Patrick Brady at AmberCon UK, and the spinoff set in the same universe run by Tim Hart at Ambercon NorthWest. What more can I tell you?
There is no denying
That it matters little,
When through a narrow door
We enter a room together,
Which goes after, which before.
Perhaps you are not dying:
Perhaps—there is no knowing—
I shall slip by and turn and laugh with you
Because it mattered so little,
The order of our going.
At the Last by Witter Bynner
A few years back I ran a game called "The Other Side Of Kolvir", and the players were part of an expedition to find out what was on the back side of Kolvir. Some of the players told me that I should explore the other end of the Amber Universe, so here it is. What is in the Abyss? We know that Brand dragged Deirdre down with him into the Abyss at the end of the Corwin books, but is that the end?
Last year, on Tuesday September the 22nd, the world changed.
Before, the Age of Myth and Legends was the echo of a bell last rung two thousand years ago.
On that day, the bell rang anew, and all over the world something like "magic" began its steady return. Human occultists and mystics discovered traces of what they'd long sought, while the sleeping remnants of the prior age began to awaken and emerge. Only time will tell what this will mean for gods, humans, and everything caught between.
Six months have passed, and you are among the few called to join the Order of Guardians. Founded by ancient beings and powerful humans, it stands between the realms of divinity and humanity, seeking to find a balance that upholds them both. The rumbling of cataclysmic change grows ever louder, and you are all you know of that holds back the chaos a little longer.
Note: Players from the preceding campaign are welcome. You may play your previous character or start a new character, as you prefer.
Adventure, romance, danger, and intrigue with the Musketeers!.
One of several Musketeers sessions I will make available this year. Each will have a different plot that I will determine upon receiving the player lists. If you have ever played in a session of this series over the last 20 years at Ambercon, Ambercon North, or Amber Central, you are welcome to sign up! You may sign up to serve Her Majesty in any of the slots you choose.
Game may have a later start time depending on player feedback. This will be decided beforehand.
